Preparing Clients for the Speed of Remote (4/13/2020)

In this unprecedented and uncertain time, Panther’s first priority continues to be the health and well-being of our staff, their families, the communities we work in, and the customers we support. Our staff work from home policy is a precautionary but proactive step designed to reduce our own exposure to COVID-19 and we hope that these measures will contribute in some small way to slowing down the spread of the virus.

Our commitment to you, our clients, has never been more focused. The daily work dynamic has shifted. We are all more restricted while trying to perform still necessary tasks and process still necessary data. We are experiencing the need to be more efficient, more flexible, and more creative just to get the job done. Panther can help.

Panther International and the BlackCat SaaS Suite are helping you and your recipients work remote

Highlight:
Panther International offers a Disaster Readiness Module as one of the many optional components of our BlackCat Applications. The Disaster Readiness Module can be added and configured for any mode. It allows DOT users the ability to log on remotely, create an event (such as, Coronavirus 2020) so that data records can be captured and stored for each major occurrence. Once initiated, individual recipient agencies can upload critical data to alert and inform federal and state authorities about facility statuses, asset availability (or unavailability), services capability, fuel availability, damage assessment and other relevant categories.

A dashboard component compiles a list of agencies reporting and shows those that are expected but have not yet reported. It allows state users real-time viewing of incoming reports, to track individual agency tracking responsiveness, and each reporting agency’s status. A variety of reports provide a data summary for a single facility, asset and staff status, area wide damage assessments, physical condition of the facility, services, fuel availability, and custom reporting to capture various service and activity reports.

Federal and state reports are also included for reporting to the FAA and/or FTA based on the required federal forms and other customized reporting that can be added as needed. Real-time data can also be provided via electronic interface for reporting to Emergency Operations Centers or other agencies. The real-time data capture and reporting methodology provided by the Disaster Readiness Module reduces time and confusion when timely reporting can help authorities manage facility and service status, assess damage and recovery, manage the movement critical assets, and get supplies or personnel into position to save property or even lives.

A Brief Update
Since our last message regarding the availability of eSignature, we are now working with several states that have recently inquired about utilizing the electronic signature process to reduce the heavy time delays caused by adhering to the old ‘wet signature’ requirements. eSignature will convert this to an efficient, online method that greatly reduces the effort and time to produce fully executed grant agreements, amendments, certifications and even invoices.  And now that stimulus funding is on the way, there is no better time to seek management approval, tap available federal funding, and implement this functionality.

Next time …
Federal Stimulus funding is on the way. And every state is examining how to respond and deliver the funding. The team at Panther International is working directly with our clients and other industry agencies to learn, prepare, and implement needed changes for our clients to timely and effectively serve their constituencies. Next time, we will tell you how.
