TransCIP

Challenge: Transit agencies manage numerous grants from numerous funding sources, each with its own set of compliance and reporting requirements. A single system was needed to facilitate the collection, storage, management and analysis of transit related grants.

Solution: TransCIP (Transportation Capital Improvement Program) is an implementation of Panther's BlackCat Grant Management System^®. The core product was customized to fit the specific needs of government transportation agencies and their many stakeholders.

Outcome: TransCIP has been in use for 5 years and currently manages $13 billion in grant funding. The ability to store and manage all of the grant related documents in one central location is integral to creating transparency and opening up inter-agency and inter-departmental communication. Grant managers are now able to allocate funding and adhere to compliance and reporting requirements with simplicity. Stakeholders from all sides benefit from being able to access the data specific only to them, at any time of day. The improved efficiencies have created cost savings and an ease of use for all involved that has been deemed priceless.
